With his eyes firmly on the future, Jin Choi recently snapped up a three-bedroom apartment off-the-plan in the Concord Central development in Sydney’s Inner West, being developed by Billbergia and Metrics Credit Partners.
While the 33-year-old finance professional is currently single and living in a one-bedroom unit in Chatswood, he wanted to secure larger space to accommodate future plans for a family and optimise capital gains.
“I wanted to buy in this first stage of the project because it always represents the best value. The prices will rise in future stages of the development so being an early buyer means I can capture the full uplift in value,” Jin said.
A financially savvy buyer, Jin also used Coposit – enabling him to pay his deposit over the four-year construction timeframe.
“The four-year settlement period is perfect for me. It is a comfortable timeframe for me to save and really get ahead financially while my apartment is being built,” he said.
According to Jin, the spacious floorplan of his new Concord Central apartment was a major drawcard, along with the convenience unlocked by the project’s location and abundant amenity.
“I can’t wait to move into this big new apartment and have so much extra space. But most of all, my life will be so much more convenient with a train station just a few minutes away as well as shops, a supermarket and parks. Plus the pool and gym in my building – it will be like a mini-city,” Jin said.
“When the North Strathfield Metro is complete in a few years’ time, that will also be another easy transport option for me and is in easy walking distance.”
He noted the premium finishes in the display apartment were another factor in his decision – with thick stone benchtops and premium integrated appliances.
“The quality really is up there with the best. My family has bought off-the-plan projects with Billbergia so I feel confident that my apartment will be finished to an exacting standard,” he said.
A seasoned property buyer, Jin says the off-the-plan buying process was made seamless by direct access to the developer.
“It was great not needing to go through an external third-party agent – questions were dealt with quickly and efficiently with Billbergia being the developer and sales agents,” he said.

Concord Central
Set within a brand-new town centre, Concord Central offers unrivalled access to transport, retail and services – unlocking a new level of liveability and convenience.
Located at 1 King Street in Concord West, the development will see the creation of a vibrant mixed-use town centre directly connected into Concord West train station.
The first release, Sky Village, comprises 276 apartments across three buildings of seven, 27 and 37 storeys. It offers a mix of one, two, three and four-bedroom residences and just one exclusive penthouse.
Designed to meet rising demand for apartments in Sydney’s inner-west, Concord Central combines strong connectivity with elevated design, generous amenity and sweeping views across Sydney Harbour, the city skyline and Bicentennial Park.
“Concord Central is set to deliver an exciting new community in the inner west, and the early response from buyers has been incredibly strong. With homes ranging from one-bedroom apartments to house-style four-bedroom floorplans, we’re seeing broad appeal from first home buyers, families, downsizers and investors alike,” said John Kim, Sales Manager at Billbergia.
“Buyers can personalise their homes with a range of premium upgrades that will really help make each apartment unique. Upgrades include custom joinery, integrated appliances and upgraded finishes including stone kitchens and hybrid timber-look flooring. EV chargers can also be incorporated into car spaces.”
Prices start from $730,000 for one-bedroom apartments, while two-bedroom units are priced from $1.28 million. Three-bedroom apartments start at $1.6 million and house-like four-bedroom configurations are priced from $2.7 million.
Beyond the residences, Concord Central will bring a new retail and community offering to the neighbourhood, with plans for a supermarket, childcare centre, shops, cafes, restaurants, a civic plaza and more than 5,000 square metres of open space, including parklands, a playground and a multi-purpose mini sports field.
“The town centre concept is really all about convenience. It places public transport, retail, dining and essential services like childcare just moments from residents’ front doors,” Mr Kim said.
Residents will also have access to a suite of lifestyle amenities including a wellness centre, pool, spa, sauna, gym, library, communal spaces and landscaped parklands.
Apartment interiors are spacious and designed for liveability with elegant bespoke finishes including mineral stone. Buyers can choose between two colour palettes, further customising the individual look of their apartment.
Many apartments also offer private balconies or enclosed wintergardens, seamlessly blending indoor and outdoor living, while security is maintained with digital door locks as standard.
Scheduled for completion in 2029, Concord Central will deliver a total of 1,336 new dwellings across eight towersranging from six to 37 storeys and create an exciting new community hub for Concord.
