Since its inception in 2016, the BBBRun has redefined what a running event can be — focusing not on competition, but on connection, inclusion, and what everyone can achieve, regardless of age, ability, or fitness level.

Event Director, Stephanie Lebeau from True Sports Events, said it was heartwarming to see so many people come together again.

“It was great to see people get out and have fun,” Mrs Lebeau said. “The BBBRun is about everyone having a go – and feeling that they belong.”

More than 600 participants took to the course, with a total of over 1,600 registrations and around 3,000 attendees including spectators. Starting in the Wentworth Point Town Centre and crossing the iconic Bennelong Bridge, the event offered something for everyone — from a half marathon and 10km race for seasoned runners, to a 7km wheelchair race2km race walk500m Frame Running event for people with impaired balance, and a 2km family fun run.

Billbergia Group Managing Director, John Kinsella AM, said the event embodies Billbergia’s ongoing commitment to creating connected and inclusive communities.

“We’ve been involved with the BBBRun since it began, and we’re proud to continue supporting an event that brings people together and celebrates what community truly means,” Mr Kinsella said.

The BBBRun also helps raise awareness and funds for Frame Running, a unique initiative providing people with mobility challenges the opportunity to experience the joy of movement alongside fellow runners.

This year, the event partnered with the Office of Sport and Transport for NSW to conduct a targeted participant survey — gathering insights to improve future planning around safe and inclusive transport access for runners and supporters.

Among the standout teams was Achilles Sydney, a group of blind and vision-impaired runners.

Testimonial from Achilles team:

“The BBB Run really is a fabulous community event! Having a superb location and an interesting, runner-friendly course are not enough to create such a successful event. I lot of hard work, the friendly professionalism of the BBB Run team, and the commitment to inclusivity are the ingredients that make the event special. Achilles Sydney has benefited greatly from these. Your generosity has created opportunities for our members to be a part of it all. On a personal note, your flexibility and assistance in dealing with our late changes are greatly appreciated. The atmosphere at Wentworth Point before the racing on Sunday was buzzing. The Events Village was similarly a happy place after the races had been run. It is no wonder that the BBB Run is a firm favourite with our members.”
