The 4th annual Billbergia Bennelong Bridge Run (BBBRun) has again seen a big turn out, with more than 1900 people participating in the event.

Race organiser, Steph Lebeau from True Sports Events confirmed the 2020 BBBRun attracted the largest number of participants since the event started back in 2017.

“Today’s turnout demonstrates that Sydneysiders have really embraced the event, which has not only cemented its place on Sydney’s running calendar, but also attracted serious athletes such as Australian Olympian Eloise Wellings.”

Starting at Marina Square in Wentworth Point, the 10 km run took in Bennelong Bridge across to Rhodes, before looping back through Sydney Olympic Park and returning to Wentworth Point.

Mrs Lebeau said “In addition to attracting serious runners, our real mission in staging the event is to see everyone have an opportunity to participate, whatever their level of fitness or ability.

Each year we add additional races to broaden the event’s appeal and get people
of all abilities involved.”

As well as a 10 km race and 2 km family fun run; the 2020 BBBRun event included:

• 7 km wheelchair race,
• 2Km Race walking; and
• 500m RaceRunning event – specifically designed for people with impaired balance

Joint Managing Director of the Billbergia Group Mr John Kinsella AM, said Billbergia is proud to continue its sponsorship.
