Village Quay By Billbergia Wins Top Prize For Residential & Mixed Use Developments
Between $100,000,001 – $150,000,000
Sydney-based, privately owned property and construction group, Billbergia has been awarded a top prize at the 2015 Master Builders Association (MBA) NSW Excellence in Construction Awards.
The Village Quay development in Rhodes is a high rise development consisting of five residential towers, spanning over 760 residential apartments.
Two of the buildings, VQ: Harbour Views and VQ: Shores, were designed with conservation and sustainability in mind, with solar PV cells, state-of-the-art energy efficient appliances and stand-alone systems that lower operating costs and strata fees.
Chris Kelly, Senior Project Manager for Village Quay Rhodes, said his team worked extremely hard to finish the buildings ahead of schedule.
‘As with all Billbergia projects we offer the full beginning to end development and construction management,’ said Kelly.
‘Not only does this help us stand out from the competitors it also ensures the quality is maintained throughout the entire project, from land acquisition to sales’.
Billbergia commenced the Village Quay development in 2012, with the final building due to settle in February 2016.
The awards were judged by a panel of industry experts who gave out prizes based on the quality of the completed buildings, degree of construction difficulty, environmental sustainability, material used, safety procedures in place and how the project benefited the local community.
John Kinsella, one of the owners and directors of Billbergia group, was proud to accept the award alongside the operations manager and construction team.

MBA received more than 5,000 entries this year for the Regional, State and Territory Excellence in Building and Construction awards.
